Introduction

Kalwa slums of Mumbai are home to a large number of marginalized families struggling with poverty, unemployment, and lack of access to basic services. Many young individuals in this community lack formal education and vocational training, limiting their employment opportunities. 
Project Navjeevan aims to break this cycle by equipping youth with essential skills in hospitality, computer literacy, and English communication, enabling them to secure stable employment.

Program Overview

  • Duration: 3 months
  • Number of students: 20
  • Skills: Hospitality, Computer Literacy, and English Communication

Training Modules

  • Hospitality Training – Customer service, housekeeping, front office, and food & beverage basics.
  • Computer Literacy– Typing, MS Office, digital communication, and workplace tech skills.
  • English Communication – Spoken English, workplace communication, and interview skills.
  • Practical Training – Hands-on exercises, role-playing, and industry exposure.

At the end of the program, participants receive certifications and placement assistance to secure employment in relevant sectors.
